W P Lewis and Son Team Continue to go from Strength to Strength
The team at Pembrokeshire’s Vauxhall retailer W P Lewis and Son have been recognised for a staggering 10th year in a row by Vauxhall Motors for their outstanding service that they provide to their customers.
The Vauxhall Customer Excellence Award recognises the very best Vauxhall dealerships in the UK. The family business has been awarded all 10 customer excellence awards consecutively since the inception of the awards from Vauxhall Motors, emphasising how personal service really sets small businesses apart from others.
Steve Lloyd now serves as Retail Operator, having joined the firm at 16 to help his grandfather, the late W P Lewis and his late uncle Stuart Lewis. It's still very much a family affair, with Stuart's son Martyn now serving as fellow Director, and W P Lewis's granddaughter Jenny who is one of the dealership's Service Advisors.
Steve added:
“We are still very much a family business 71 years on and the whole team is part of the W P Lewis and Son extended family. I believe that this is what sets us apart and has allowed us to thrive within the Vauxhall network. I am extremely proud of the committed team at the dealership, who always provide that added personal touch to the customer experience.”
The customer excellence award winners are chosen by the feedback provided through Vauxhall’s purchase satisfaction and service satisfaction surveys from customers. Each year, the award goes to retailers with the best combined score.
Richard Hughes, Director of Customer Experience for Vauxhall recently visited to personally congratulate the whole team for their outstanding effort.
W P Lewis and Son is one of only three retailers in the UK who has received every single award and is the only Vauxhall dealership in Wales to have achieved this accolade. In addition to an outstanding team, many of whom have worked at the firm for well over 20 years, Steve also puts down the success of the small business to their very committed and loyal customers, many of whom are seen as friends to the team.

“We would also like to thank our customers for their support, especially through the difficult few years since the pandemic. We really appreciate the loyalty that many of our customers have shown and we wouldn’t be the dealership we are without our amazing customers who often come back time and time again.”
